Hi, I’m Brian.

​Welcome to my little corner of the internet! I am lucky enough to be based right in the beautiful North East of Scotland, surrounded by some of the most dramatic coastlines and historic landscapes in the country.

​I started Everything Scottish Ancient and Wild out of a pure passion for exploring our rugged corners and uncovering deep history. Living here means I get to spend my time walking along the windswept sands of Roseisle Beach or standing inside the historic stone walls of Auchindoun Castle, always captivated by the stories and atmospheres of these timeless places.

​What started as a passion project has grown into a vibrant community of over 200,000 history and landscape enthusiasts across our social platforms. This website is a space for me to share my personal photographs, local research, and travel notes with you as we explore Scotland together.
