The Masterpiece of Renaissance Carving

The palace block features an extraordinary carved frontispiece above the main entrance and an exquisite, ornate stone fireplace inside. Getting Here: Situated in the town of Huntly, just off the main A96 road between Aberdeen and Elgin. It is an easy walk from the town square or Huntly train station, with dedicated parking available at the castle visitor centre.
Access: The site is fully managed by Historic Environment Scotland. Admission fees apply (free for members). The courtyard and ground level vaults feature relatively level paths, while climbing into the upper palace floors and towers involves traversing historic spiral stone steps.
